Hi, I'm Puja Taneja

Perimenopause hit me like a storm. Despite maintaining the same diet and workout routine, my body began to betray me. The weight, which had never been an issue, started creeping up, and no matter what I did, it refused to budge. Frustration set in as I watched my efforts go unrewarded, feeling like my body was out of control.


It was a bewildering time. The harder I fought against the changes, the more resistant my body became. This wasn't just a physical struggle; it was an emotional battle too, with constant stress and self-criticism taking their toll.


The turning point came when I realized I needed to change my approach. Instead of fighting my body, I started working with it. I educated myself about the changes happening within and made key adjustments in nutrition and lifestyle.


I began focusing on nutrient-dense foods, lean proteins, healthy fats, and fiber. Staying hydrated and limiting processed foods and sugars made a noticeable difference. I also revamped my workout routine, incorporating more strength training and low-impact exercises like yoga and Pilates.


The most profound change was learning to be kind to myself. My body wasn't my enemy but a partner in this journey. Practicing self-compassion and embracing the changes helped me develop a healthier relationship with my body.


This journey taught me that perimenopause and menopause are about finding a new balance. By listening to my body, adjusting my nutrition, and shifting my mindset, I reclaimed my health and wellbeing.
